10 days Northern Tanzania & Zanzibar

Day 1: Arrive Kilimanjaro – Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our driver will be waiting to greet you and take you to the serenity of your lodge for a while, to unwind from your flight and begin to settle into your holiday.

Day 2: Tarangire Park

After a relaxing breakfast you will meet your safari tour manager for your safari brief then depart towards Tarangire Park for game viewing. Tarangire National Park is famous for its dense wildlife population and many groups of elephants. Between June and September thousands of animals- wildebeest, buffalo, and Oryx migrate from the dry Maasai steeple to the Tarangire River looking for water. Lion, leopard and other predators follow the herds. Tarangire is home to over 500 varieties of birds. Have lunch and take a late afternoon game viewing drive before a delighted sundowner followed by dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Lake Manyara Park

After a relaxing breakfast drive to Lake Manyara Park for an early morning game drive. On the entrance of the park embark on a treetop walk that’s takes about 30 – 50 minutes enjoying the surroundings of the forest and its wildlife coming eye to eye with a variety of birds, butterflies and if lucky see bigger wildlife that hides in Lake Manyara’s forests. Continue on game drives in this Park famously known for its tree climbing lions and its diverse set of vegetation and wildlife. Leave the park in the afternoon for local lunch in mto wa mbu before driving through the Great Rift Valley escarpment to the Ngorongoro Highlands for overnight.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater

After an early morning wakeup call and breakfast depart to Ngorongoro conservation area for game viewing on the World Heritage Site – Ngorongoro Crater. Here it is possible to see elephants, prides of lion, hippos, a resident herd of wildebeest, zebra, various gazelles, baboons and the black rhino.  Lunch will be taken at a picnic site at the water’s edge. In the afternoon ascend back to the crater passing through an authentic Maasai Boma for a cultural tour of this community to learn the ways of their lifestyle before proceeding to Serengeti Park for overnight.

Day 5 & 6: Serengeti Park

After breakfast at Camp continue on game drives towards the northern part of the Park. Serengeti Park is home to massive herds of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle along with buffalo, elephant and giraffe. The park is world famous for its annual wildebeest and zebra migration when nearly two million animal’s transverse the open plains in an almost single file procession in search of fresh grasslands. Enjoy two days of game viewing in the Northern part of this Sanctuary with your wildlife safari guide planning your game drives.

Day 7: Fly Zanzibar – 

After an early sunrise and breakfast drive to the airstrip for your local flight to Zanzibar via Arusha. Meet Uzuri Safaris representative on arrival for your transfer by private vehicle to your Hotel.

Day 8 & 9: Zanzibar

After breakfast set out on a tour of Stone Town embracing the rich culture, heritage and historical significance amongst its winding alleys, bustling markets, mosques, and the famed magnificent wooden carvings of the Zanzibari doors. After lunch you will be transferred to a pristine part of Zanzibar for beach relaxation for two nights.

Day 10: Back to Zanzibar Airport – Depart
